Town Donovaly
Donovaly is one of the most attractive ski resorts in Slovakia. It is situated in the centre of Slovakia between the National park Low Tatras and Great Fatra just 26km from the city Banska Bystrica. This Location is a very well known tourist and ski area and thanks to excellent climatic conditions and modernisation Donovaly is suitable for either winter or summer holiday.
Winter activities
The dominant of this locality is chair lift to Nova Hola.
In addition this chair lift there are another 14 ski lifts with a capacity of 10 050 holidaymakers per hour. You can find here 11km ski terrains. The ski terrains provide great conditions for skiers of all categories, from beginners to the devotees of adrenalin hills.
Artificial snow is standard on the slopes Nova Hola and Zahradiste, providing superb conditions worth experienced skiers and admirers of tourist skiing.
Donovaly offers the possibility for runner skiing with tracks of 50km.

You can enjoy beauty of this nature by walking and gathering forest fruits and mushrooms.There are also possibilities for fishing on neraly Motycky and many other activities. We recommend a trip to Nova Hola, where active persons can take part in courses of paragliding or enjoy themselves at mountain biking. The chair lift at Nova Hola operates all the year.
During holiday you can have a good time in bowling center right in Donovaly. We recommend you trips to Aquapark Tatralandia, Vlkolínec Demänovská cave, etc.
Fun, sport and restaurants
Cable-car up to Nová hoža
During the summer season take the modern 6 seater TELEMIX Nová hoža cable-car up to the peak of Nová hoža. Come up and take in the wonderful panoramic views from Nová hoža or from nearby Zvolen of the Low Tatras and the Large Fatras.
It runs every day on the hour from 8am to 5pm, from Saturday June 14 to Monday 15 September. More information
Bownling centre
In December 2006, a new bowling centre was opened, where, apart from the 4 bowling lanes, you can have fun on billiard tables, a golf trainer / simulator, a laser shooting range, dartboards and air-hockey. Price list and details
Toboggan run
Over the months April to July 2008 the second toboggan run of its kind in Slovakia from the renowned German company Wiegand will take shape in the vicinity of the TELEMIX Nová hoža cablecar station and the Husky aprés ski bar. More information
